Here is the total number of homes sold in February 2010 for the Columbia Gorge Region: Hood River & Wasco Counties in Oregon, Klickitat & Skamania Counties in Washington.  These are the cities and towns reporting sales.  These sales are only LISTED sales not FSBO's or unlisted sales.  In February 2010 there were 29 homes sold gorge wide.   There were 30  homes sold gorge wide last month, January 2010.

There was one residential home sales in Skamania County in February 2010 compared to 6  home sales in January 2010.  This data reflects only properties that are listed on the RMLS. Sales of unlisted and FSBO properties are not included. There are 7 homes currently sale pending in Skamania County-North Bonneville-2, Carson-4, Cougar-1

There were 12 home sales February 2010 in Wasco County compared to 7 homes sold last month, January 2010. This is the latest sales data for Wasco County from the RMLS. Included are only sales of listed properties and fsbo homes are not included.  10 homes were located in The Dalles, 1 in Tygh Valley and 1 in Maupin.  If your home is priced correctly it should sell in a reasonable time frame in this market.  There are currently 22 homes sale pending in Wasco County. 21-The Dalles and 1-Dufur

            Pictured above is Wind Mountain located in Home Valley, Washington in Skamania County.

Wind Mountain is the cone of an extinct volcano. You can hike the Wind Mountain trail. It is a short hike of about 3 miles. It starts out rather steep but due to the short length of the hike is moderate in difficulty and the spectacular views are the reward.  On the top of Wind Mountain are Native American formations created by young people during their Spirit Quest. Care must be taken that these ruins are not disturbed.

This Historic Church building in Bingen, Washington is now the home of the Gorge Heritage Museum.  The church on the right is the original Catholic Church in Stevenson, Washington. It is now a personal residence.

Pictured below are the Riverside Community Church in Hood River, Oregon and a historic church in Wasco County, Oregon.

Pictured below on the right is the St. Peter's Landmark in The Dalles, Oregon. This 110 year old former Catholic Church is listed on the National Historic Registry. It was saved from demolition in 1971.

The Historic Pine Grove Methodist church is located in Pine Grove, Oregon located about 6 miles south of Hood River.
