I visited the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson yesterday. It's fun to stop by, have some lunch, enjoy the craftsmanship and detail of construction-stone fireplaces, clear verticle fir wainscoting, slate floors, ..... and the awesome gorge & River views looking east with Wind Mountain in the distance.  Quite a difference from the site I remember back in 1985 when I moved to Stevenson. It used to be the location of the transfer station where we took our trash. Stevenson has definately come a long way since I headed further east in '91. Well worth a visit.

This project is planned to create Celilo Falls Park Near The Dalles, Oregon. Seven parks are planned at various locations along the Columbia.  Sounds very interesting.
