Here is the  latest sales data from the RMLS for Klickitat County.  These sales comps reflect only properties listed on the RMLS.  Unlisted or fsbo properties are not included.  There were 7 total residential sales in Klickitat County in June 2009. Here's the break down.

White Salmon-  The small house above  is located in the Wyers End Development.  It was listed for $259,000 sold for $250,000  2 bdrm  1 bath  833 sq ft.

There are currently 16 homes sale pending in Klickitat County.  5 in White Salmon, 1 in Trout Lake, 2 in Lyle,  1 in Husum, 2 in Dallesport and 5 in Goldendale.

In Skamania County there were 9 home sales in June 2009. This data reflects only properties that are listed on the RMLS. Sales of unlisted and FSBO properties are not included.   Five of the sales were in North Bonneville where we have been seeing many of the bank owned homes selling. One  home sold in Stevenson, one home sold in Carson, one home sold in Underwood and one home sold in Skamania.

There are currently 10 homes sale pending in Skamania County. North Bonneville-2  Cook-1  Stevenson-3  Carson-3  Underwood-1    It is good news to see the higher number of pendings.

There are currently 200 homes between $100,000 up to $300,000 here in the gorge including all towns in both Washington and Oregon. This is a great time for first time home buyers. There's still time to buy a home and take advantage of the up to $8,000 federal tax credit. To take part in this you must close on the home by Dec. 1, 2009. There will also be wine from Wind River Cellars, Pheasant Valley, North SHore, Erin Glenn, Cor,North Shore, Syncline, Memaloose, Viento, and Shady Grove Wineries.

Admission is $10 per person which includes your choice of beer mug or wine glass. You can even purchase your ticket in advance rather than waiting in line. Scenery is all around us here in Hood River, Oregon. Stratton Gardens is one of  my favorite places to enjoy. Located east of the Hood River County Courthouse, above Horsefeathers Restaurant and near the 2nd street stairs, here you can sit in a beautiful garden world that changes with the seasons. Roses, lavender, clematis, wild rose, park benches, rock walls and stairs and a rock sculpture fountain in the center. Absolutely peaceful.
